Employment
At Wellington Christian School we are passionate about our vision of being authentic, responsive and transformational in the culture we build, the faithfully Christian and bespoke education we provide and the hope we promote through knowing Christ. Every day, as active and committed Christians, our staff focus on fulfilling this vision through their personal and professional interactions with each other and members of our community.
Working With Us
ENGAGING CULTURE
With a vibrant, open, friendly and supportive school culture we are passionate about Christian education and as a Parent Controlled School we seek to engage deeply with the parents of our students. WCS is known in the community as a school with a strong sense of community, supportive pastoral care systems, academic improvement and a commitment to serve others.
GREAT FACILITIES
What a beautiful school we have! We are committed to an ongoing program of improvement and development of our facilities for the benefit of our staff, our students, our parents and members of the broader local community. We are constantly exploring new ways to enhance both our learning and play environments.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Ongoing Professional development is an essential part of life for staff at WCS. We conduct regular internal professional development and staff are also encouraged & supported to undertake post graduate training at either the National Institute for Christian Education or other tertiary institutions. Throughout the year staff are also offered opportunities to attend professional development courses run by various national bodies such as Christian Education National (CEN) and the Association of Independent Schools (AIS). We also offer a mentoring program for new staff.
Employment opportunities are advertised on our Positions Vacant page, Christian Education National and Christian Jobs Australia. We also welcome employment enquiries at any time throughout the year.

FINALISATION AND OFFER
Once the full interview process is complete, and as the final preferred candidate, we will arrange to speak with your work and personal referees. Christian Education – A Different Starting Point
Christian Education National (CEN) have written an article titled What is Christian Education which provides a clear explanation of the distinctives of Christian Education.
Most Christian schools in Australia belong to a wider association of Christian schools. A community of school communities unified around the common goal of authentic, Bible-based, Christ-centred education. This is Christian Education National (CEN). Wellington Christian School is a member of Christian Education National. Learn more at their website.
